Introduction to the Main Components and Key Points of a Universal Plate Rolling Machine
A universal plate rolling machine is a shaping machine tool used for continuous point bending of sheet metal. In ordinary symmetrical three-roll plate rolling machines, a certain width of dead edge is usually left at both ends of the sheet metal during rolling. After rolling into a cylinder, the pre-bending function is used to remove this dead edge, forming a cylindrical shape. The workpieces rolled by the plate rolling machine often have straight edges at both ends, requiring welding before further rolling, which is time-consuming and reduces work efficiency.

Main Components of a Universal Plate Rolling Machine:
(1) Upper and Lower Rollers: These are important components of the plate rolling machine, made of forged high-quality carbon steel.

(2) Machine Frame: There are two frames, one on the left and one on the right. The lower roller bearing is mounted on the frame. Inside the frame is a square-threaded screw, the upper end of which is hinged to the bearing seats at both ends of the upper roller. A worm gear pair and a helical pair are mounted at the bottom. The rotation of the nut in the worm gear causes the upper roller to move up or down.

(3) Reducer: A ZSY280 hard-tooth surface reducer is installed on a channel steel base along with a shim.

(4) Plate Rolling Machine Unloading Device: Installed on one side of the reducer to balance the upper roller during unloading; unloading and recovery are completed by a hydraulic cylinder.

(5) Base: Welded from profile steel and steel plates. The frame, reducer, motor, etc., are all installed on it, forming a whole.

(6) Electrical Components: All are installed in a control box for easy operation.
The universal plate rolling machine's electrical control system consists of an electrical control cabinet and an operating control console. Power supply: 380V/50HZ. The main switch has short-circuit protection and overload protection for the main motor. Motor forward and reverse rotation is controlled by an AC contactor; the control circuit uses relay control, ensuring reliable operation and long service life. The control console is equipped with finished product control buttons and indicator lights to control the operation and working status of the entire machine.

Universal plate rolling machines are widely used in boiler, shipbuilding, petroleum, woodworking, metal structure, and other machinery manufacturing industries. As a specialized machine, it plays a vital role in basic industrial processing. Almost all steel materials shaped into cylindrical forms are rolled using a plate rolling machine.
