What does the yield strength of a CNC plate rolling machine refer to? How should the machine be maintained on a daily basis?

Oct.21.2026

Yield Strength of the Four-Roll Plate Rolling Machine: This refers to the stress limit at which a metal material begins to yield—that is, the stress required to resist the onset of plastic deformation. For metal materials that do not exhibit a distinct yield point, the stress value causing 0.2% permanent (residual) deformation is defined as the yield strength. External forces exceeding this limit may cause permanent, irreversible deformation or failure of the component. For example, if the yield strength is 207 MPa, a force exceeding this limit may cause permanent deformation, whereas a force below this limit allows the component to return to its original shape.

To ensure the high efficiency and energy-saving performance of the Shenchong four-roll plate rolling machine, customers are advised to perform the following daily maintenance:

1. Lubricate all designated oil points and manual lubrication points according to the requirements specified in the equipment lubrication diagram.

2. Operate the CNC automatic plate rolling machine within its specified parameters (e.g., maximum plate thickness of 20 mm, maximum length of 2500 mm, and material yield strength below 250 MPa).

3. After connecting the power supply, operate the lower roll in both forward and reverse directions and move the upper roll up and down to check for any abnormal binding or jamming.

4. Strictly follow the established processing procedures and operating steps; pay close attention to safe operation when the upper roll reaches its limit positions.

5. Only operate the upper roll's lifting mechanism, the tilting/resetting of the drop-end bearing, and the upper roll tilting function after the main drive system has been stopped.

6. If any abnormalities—such as irregular noise or impact—occur during operation, stop the machine immediately for inspection. 7. Personnel must coordinate effectively during operations and follow the instructions of the person in charge; starting the machine without a clear signal is strictly prohibited.

8. During steel coil operations, exercise extreme caution to prevent hands from being crushed by the steel material or drawn into the coiling mechanism along with the steel plate.

9. When using an overhead crane to lift steel plates or coils, take care to avoid collisions with the equipment.

Upon completion of the work, ensure the site is cleared of all materials and debris, perform necessary equipment maintenance, and promptly disconnect the power supply.
