What is the typical power output of a three-roll plate rolling machine?
A three-roll plate rolling machine is a specialized machine for rolling plates into circles, cones, and arcs. It is widely used in machinery manufacturing and the installation of process equipment in thermal power generation, chemical, and building materials industries. The power output generally depends on the power of the motor and hydraulic system. The power of the motor and hydraulic system varies depending on the specifications of the rolling machine and the operational requirements.

For example, for a rolling machine capable of rolling plates 6mm thick and 1600mm wide, what motor power should be selected? This depends on the choice of motor and reducer. Higher speed motors require higher power, and vice versa. The reducer ratio is also particularly important; generally, a motor power of around 2 kilowatts is estimated.
A three-roll plate rolling machine is a symmetrical, upward-adjustable three-roll type. The two lower rollers are fixed on a support and are the driving rollers. The upper roller is an adjustable, driven roller to adapt to the needs of the workpiece rolling process.

The upper roller of a three-roll plate rolling machine can be adjusted in two ways:
a) Manual adjustment, where a lead screw is manually rotated up and down, denoted by S.
b) Automatic adjustment, with lifting and lowering achieved by mechanical transmission, denoted by Z.
Working Range of the Three-Roll Plate Rolling Machine
If the plate width is reduced to below 60%, the rolling diameter is greater than 50%, and the material yield strength is less than 40% of Q235, the plate thickness can be appropriately increased.
Lubrication Precautions for the Three-Roll Plate Rolling Machine
Proper lubrication of the mechanical transmission journals, sliding surfaces, and tooth surfaces is an effective measure to reduce power consumption and improve machine life. Therefore, a specific lubrication system should be established, and appropriate lubricating materials should be selected.
1. Lubrication points of the three-roll plate rolling machine are shown on the lubrication marking plate on the machine.
2. Selection of Lubricating Materials
All bushings, journals, and lead screw threads of the three-roll plate rolling machine should be spot-pressed with No. 40 mechanical oil. HT50 mechanical oil should be used in the reducer oil tank, and calcium-based grease should be used on the tooth surfaces.
3. Lubrication System
A. A. Before using the equipment, oil (grease) must be added. Add oil to the sliding surfaces until it overflows from both ends of the sleeve. Fill the reducer's oil tank with oil up to the mark on the dipstick, and coat the gear surfaces completely with grease.
B. While the machine is operating, lubricate the sliding surfaces every 2 hours, and add oil to the gear surfaces as needed.
C. Check the reducer's oil level and quality monthly. If the oil is low or has deteriorated and become watery, add or change the oil immediately. Change the oil at least once a year.
